Tour Description:
Located in the middle of a 400-hectare rubber plantation, o Restaurante Floresta offers typical Brazilian food, prioritizing local ingredients and rural recipes. The tour starts by departing from the Inn with our assistant, and they will arrive at this idyllic place together.
During the tour of the farm, a specialized guide will show you and inform you about the peculiarities and curiosities of the plantation. Clients can learn about the history of latex extraction, a process that has been carried out for centuries in the Amazon region. This activity was one of the main sources of income in Brazil in the 19th century, and it is still carried out by some communities and rural producers. At the rubber tree farm, you can also walk through the forest, observe the local flora and fauna, see wild animals, and learn about the ecology of the region.
After the visit, they will arrive at a bioconstruction with a canvas cover and tables under the trees that resemble gazebos. This amazing rustic yet chic setting is where lunch will be served. Once the meal is complete, guests will be taken back to their hosting place.
In general, our experience is a unique opportunity to learn about the history, culture and gastronomy of the Bahia region, as well as enjoy a calm and relaxing natural environment.
